HKA Bolsters Forensic Accounting and Commercial Damages Practice with Three Expert Hires

HKA, a leading global consulting firm, has announced the addition of three seasoned experts to its forensic accounting and commercial damages (FACD) practice in the United States. The new hires – K. Scott Van Meter, Pamela Verick, and Alexander Lee – bring a wealth of experience and expertise to the firm.

Van Meter, who joins as a partner based in Houston, boasts over 35 years of experience in litigation consulting, bankruptcy and restructuring, valuation, and forensic accounting. With a JD from Stetson University and a bachelor’s degree in business administration and accounting from Washington and Lee University, Van Meter is a certified public accountant in Texas and Florida, as well as a certified insolvency and restructuring advisor and financial forensics expert.

Verick, the new principal based in HKA’s Washington, DC office, has over 25 years of experience in fraud risk management and compliance programs. She holds master’s and bachelor’s degrees in justice from American University and is a certified fraud examiner and compliance and ethics professional.

Lee, the new director based in New York City, brings over 15 years of experience in accounting, business valuations, and damages quantification. With master’s and bachelor’s degrees in accounting from the University of Waterloo in Canada, Lee is a chartered professional accountant in Ontario, Canada, and a chartered business valuator.
